To celebrate the 25th running of the Birmingham to London Canal Race, we are holding a party! The venue is the Eagle and Ball pub in Birmingham; the date Saturday 27th April; the time 1300 to 2300 hours.
We are hiring, and will have sole use of, the entire three floors of the pub. It will be a very casual, drop-in affair, so visitors are able to stay for as long or short a time as suits them. All runners and helpers who have taken part, from the first GUCR in 1993, through to those intending to be there this year, are very welcome to attend.
We hope it will be a great opportunity to meet up with friends, reminisce, view lots of photos and memorabilia, take part in a fun quiz and hear talks on the history of the race and of racing it.
